So here is the Sunseeker Predator 68 alternate interior design. A yacht is pretty much the most luxurious thing money can buy. And just deciding which model to buy is only the start of your decision making journey. Interior design combinations run into the thousands. From fabrics to leathers, woods, carpets, wall coverings etc etc etc. It may be endless. And this is before you rip up their sample books and slowly lean forward and whisper. “I must have a golden toilet roll holder.”

Of course, Sunseeker will happily sell you whatever you want, need or desire. Moreover, it is likely golden toilet roll holders are pretty standard. But to make it slightly easier on most of us. Their design gurus have given us a few beautiful layouts to get us in the swing of interior designing a yacht.

We have looked at the other example of their 68 foot yacht interior in a previous post here. But today we look at their alternate option. That is just as beautiful, but gives the yacht a completely different feel.

The Sunseeker Predator 68 is a beast of a machine. With high power and lower weight than the Sunseeker Sport Yacht 68; it can really thunder along when you need to get your blood pumping. But when you get to your destination. Much faster than everyone else. You will want to relax and enjoy the beautiful surrounding from the comfort of an amazing interior design.

Sunseeker Predator 68 Alternate Interior Design Cockpit

But first, how about a custom cockpit? This image features on the Sunseeker website on their Sunseeker Predator 68 page. But it looks very different from the normal cockpit for this model.

This would be like driving your boat using a piece of art. What an amazing cockpit. I think the Starship Enterprise had a cockpit just like this. It’s not clear if a torpedo launcher came with this cockpit. But frankly a torpedo launcher means you’d probably lose a cabin and some fuel efficiency carrying all those torpedoes. So maybe, just don’t get into any arguments in the first place.

Anyway…

Sunseeker Predator 68 Alternate Interior Design Saloon

So here we have the alternate interior design dressing from the Sunseeker interior designers. And I have to say it’s amazing. Subtle, yet incredibly sophisticated and very smart. Design is one of those things that so much harder to do than people think. People who don’t know what they are doing tend to add things and add things and add things. Until your interior design looks like a mess and you don’t know why.

Highly skilled interior designers, like those who work for Sunseeker; know how to get a strong signature look, with the minimal of perceived effort. That amazing dark flooring lifts your eyes to the ice white sofas. The dressing pieces are enough to get you in the romantic mood and suggest a lifestyle that everyone wants. All the lines flow, directing you to the stairs going to the cabins. Even the Sunseeker Predator 68 sliding roof looks fantastic, helping to tell the story of the saloon. Welcoming you in and making this lounging area so inviting.

Furthermore a huge credit must go to the photographer for taking such a dramatic and powerful nighttime photo.

And there he is. Reflected in the side window. This makes me chuckle. It’s like seeing being the Sunseeker curtain. How the magic really happens. I love it. You can even see a model sitting behind him.

Sunseeker Predator 68 Alternate Interior Design Galley

Sunseeker Predator 68 Alternate Interior Design Bow Cabin

The galley is very sharp and modern. With exquisite details used sparingly. The pale wooden surfaces bounce light around making this a lovely place to be. And the simplicity of the design means when you add just a few personal items, this will instantly feel like your home. And not a show boat owned by someone else, with someone else’s style attached to it.

I love the bow cabin. A clever use of a beautiful dark wood surround acts like a picture frame for the top end of the bed. These clever little design queues force your brain to view the space in a relaxed and comfortable way. A room without a focus feels awkward to stand in. And of course the Sunseeker designers are seriously good at directing you through their designs. With the absolute minimal of effort.

Here the dress leads to the picture frame, where your eyes linger and imagine yourself lying in the bed. Then that modern, clever, mirrored horizontal, takes your eyes sideways. You them enjoy the side panels and those very neat blinds that drop straight down. Until the side furniture tops take your eyes back to the picture frame.

Consequently, the more I look at this cabin; The more I enjoy its clever simplicity. It is very smart, there is no denying it. And that duvet cover, which I’m sure is not cheap, is exactly the right colour and texture to complete this space. And only a very smart interior designer would have picked it. Knowing they needed something that would fill the eyes; must add texture, but must not dominate whilst still being the most dominate thing in the room.

Very, very good design.

Sunseeker Predator 68 Alternate Interior Design Stateroom

The skill continues in the stateroom. Again a similar bedspread holds the theme together but adds difference and interest. But here the horizontals tell a different story. The ceiling light strips are likely never even noticed. But the designers know they make the room feel wider. But that very clever horizontal strip in the headboard this time travels the full width of the cabin and the yacht. This really does stretch the cabin sideways, which is what we want in the master stateroom.

The light colour palette again, will really lift this room and whole yacht. Bouncing light absolutely everywhere. Making this space just amazing at all times of the day. But huge blocks of light colour are undesirable so the designers break them down, reducing their dominance.

This trick is even worked on the bathroom door. Imagine that door without the mirror strip accent. It would become a much more distracting element in the room. The mirror strip breaks it into two pieces with less dominance.

Again the skill continues in the bathroom. How to make a space look expensive, but not too opulent. Here is your answer. The marble is class, the silver is style and when I lay down my own few choice toiletry items. Instantly I own this space, which is very clever. How many places do you stay, that have beautiful interior design, but never really feel like your space.

Finally I have to congratulate Sunseeker and their interior design team for a wonderful display of their skill. It’s always exciting to see what they come up with. And the inside of this Sunseeker Predator 68 yacht is no different.

In conclusion, I’m almost willing to concede that this yacht might not be the best place for my golden toilet roll holder.
